SHAUN KING
Decades of Real Fights. One Mission: Train You to Win.
Shaun’s martial arts journey has taken him from full-contact karate dojos to MMA cages, from the mats of Brazilian jiu jitsu to the ring under Thai stadium lights. In 2008, he spent six gruelling weeks in a live-in fight camp in Phuket, Thailand, preparing for a world Muay Thai title — even breaking his ribs halfway through, yet still stepping into the ring to fight.
From 2000 to 2002, Shaun lived and trained daily with Jom Bing — a former Rajadamnern Stadium Champion — learning the fight game from a man who, at 42, was still holding the New Zealand title. In Brazilian jiu jitsu, his biggest influence has been Professor Bruno Lemos, shaping not only his technical game but also his approach to people on and off the mat.
In 2019, Shaun earned his BJJ black belt — a milestone representing decades of dedication — and took the leap to become a full-time instructor in both Muay Thai and jiu jitsu. Today, he brings his no-nonsense, fight-proven approach to every class, helping students of all levels build skills and confidence they can rely on anywhere.
